{"id":613,"date":"2026-01-30T19:58:46","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T10:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/primitivechristianitystudy.org\/?p=613"},"modified":"2026-02-01T18:33:35","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T09:33:35","slug":"first-luke-%e2%91%a6%e3%80%80best-friend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primitivechristianitystudy.org\/?p=613","title":{"rendered":"First Luke \u2466\u3000Best Friend"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/primitivechristianitystudy.org\/?p=611\" title=\"\">\u21d2\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u30da\u30fc\u30b8\u306f\u3053\u3061\u3089\u3092\u30af\u30ea\u30c3\u30af\u3057\u3066\u306d\uff01<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Two days later, it was the Sabbath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In the land of Israel, from long ago, the Law had taught the people to set aside one day every seven as the Sabbath\u2014a day of rest.<br>On that day, all work done for earning a living must stop.<br>Even work done for oneself, such as repairing furniture, was not to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It was a day to remember what God had done for His people,<br>to read again and again the \u201cgood Law,\u201d<br>and to teach children about God and His Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Some very strict groups of people had taken this Law too far.<br>They said that even brushing away a small insect from one\u2019s body was a kind of hunting and must not be done.<br>They even forbade caring for the sick, saying that it counted as medical work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Such excessive strictness, instead of bringing people closer to God, often pushed their hearts away.<br>It also led clever people to search for loopholes.<br>But as long as the true, good purpose of the Law was not forgotten,<br>this \u201cgood Law\u201d helped people live happier lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Dina, who was still unable to rise from her sadness, went to the town\u2019s only synagogue that day, after a long time away.<br>And there, a great encouragement was waiting for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Even while the Law was being read, Dina and Mary caught each other\u2019s eyes.<br>Their eyes shone brightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After the gathering, the two women met in the synagogue courtyard.<br>They embraced each other again and again, making sure the other was truly there and safe.<br>Luke went home ahead of them with his grandfather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cIt\u2019s really you, Dina,\u201d Mary said.<br>\u201cYou\u2019re still beautiful. I\u2019m so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cMary\u2026 I\u2026\u201d Dina began, and tears of regret fell from her eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cDon\u2019t say anything,\u201d Mary said gently.<br>\u201cDon\u2019t say anything now.<br>Let us simply thank God that we have met again.<br>Oh, Jehovah, thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">For a long time, they looked into each other\u2019s eyes.<br>Before they knew it, they had become girls again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">They smiled\u2014without knowing who smiled first.<br>Their eyes turned playful.<br>They nudged each other\u2019s shoulders.<br>They tugged at each other\u2019s hair.<br>And then they laughed out loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">They laughed and laughed, until tears came to their eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-21d688db4685fd1c6794129fc51b4de7\">Please leave a comment\uff01<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u21d2\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u30da\u30fc\u30b8\u306f\u3053\u3061\u3089\u3092\u30af\u30ea\u30c3\u30af\u3057\u3066\u306d\uff01 Two days later, it was the Sabbath.
